Information From Third Parties

OGS may receive information from third parties that help us operate the marketplace, including:

  • Stripe and Stripe Connect for payment processing, seller payouts, fraud prevention, compliance, and payment status updates
  • Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and related infrastructure services
  • Resend for sending transactional emails such as order confirmations and account-related notices
  • Sentry, when configured, for error logging and application performance monitoring
  • Google Maps / Places, when enabled, for optional address autocomplete during checkout
  • Hosting providers such as Vercel for website delivery and operational logging
  • Public or regulatory sources, including ATF FFL reference data used to help buyers and sellers identify and select licensed FFL dealers
  • Buyers, sellers, FFL dealers, and other marketplace participants as needed to complete transactions, transfers, or support requests

OGS does not currently use third-party advertising pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Payment and Payout Information

OGS uses Stripe to process buyer payments and, for eligible sellers, to facilitate payouts through Stripe Connect.

  • OGS does not store full credit card numbers, card security codes (CVC/CVV), or complete payment card credentials on its own servers.
  • Stripe may collect and process payment method details, billing information, transaction details, device information, fraud-prevention signals, and other information necessary to process payments and manage risk.
  • Sellers who receive payouts may be required to provide information directly to Stripe Connect for identity verification, tax reporting, bank account setup, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.
  • Stripe's handling of personal information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policies and terms. You should review Stripe's policies at stripe.com/privacy.
  • OGS may receive limited payment-related information from Stripe, such as payment status, transaction or payment intent IDs, refund status, dispute or chargeback status, payout status, card brand, and last four digits where available, along with fraud or risk indicators needed to operate the marketplace.

FFL, Compliance, and Verification Information

Because OGS is a firearm-related marketplace, we may collect and process compliance information needed to facilitate lawful listings, sales, transfers through licensed FFL dealers where applicable, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. OGS does not itself act as a licensed firearm dealer or perform firearm transfers unless expressly stated elsewhere in our policies.

This may include:

  • FFL dealer business name, license number, address, phone, and related contact information
  • Buyer-selected transfer dealer information and saved preferred FFL dealers
  • Order transfer, shipment, and FFL workflow status
  • FFL-related documents uploaded by buyers or sellers, such as licenses or transfer records
  • Seller verification information, including FFL or SOT documentation where required
  • Communications with buyers, sellers, FFL dealers, or support related to transfers
  • Compliance records maintained to support marketplace operations and legal obligations

Some FFL information may be business or publicly available information, including data sourced from regulatory reference databases, but it may still identify an individual or home-based business. OGS handles that information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Cookies, Sessions, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

OGS and its service providers use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to operate the website, including:

  • Authentication and session cookies through Supabase Auth to keep you signed in and secure your account
  • Browser local storage for features such as cart persistence, browse display preferences, and short-lived checkout session markers
  • Security and operational logs used for fraud prevention, abuse detection, debugging, and platform reliability
  • Preference storage for account settings and notification preferences
  • Error logging through Sentry when configured, which may include technical information about errors, device/browser data, and page context

OGS does not currently use third-party advertising pixels or similar tools for cross-context behavioral advertising. OGS also does not currently use a separate third-party web analytics platform such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, PostHog, or Vercel Analytics for visitor tracking.

Seller dashboard metrics and internal marketplace reporting are generated from OGS order and listing data and are not the same as third-party advertising analytics.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies or storage may affect sign-in, checkout, cart persistence, or other site functionality.

Listings, Public Content, and Marketplace Visibility

Content you submit as a seller may be visible to other users or the public depending on listing status and marketplace design. Public or buyer-visible listing information may include title, description, price, photos, category, condition, manufacturer, caliber, general location, shipping details, and seller display information.

Do not include sensitive personal information in public listing titles, descriptions, photos, or seller-facing content unless you intend for that information to be visible to other users.

If you remove or delete content, copies may remain for a limited period in backups, audit logs, transaction records, dispute records, compliance files, or other records we are permitted or required to retain.

Data Retention

OGS retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate accounts, maintain listings, complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, comply with law, maintain security, and keep business records.

Certain transaction, payment, fraud, transfer, compliance, tax, accounting, chargeback, and legal records may be retained even after account closure or deletion where permitted or required by law.

Uploaded listing photos, seller verification documents, and order-related documents may be deleted or deactivated when listings or accounts are removed, subject to backups, dispute needs, and legal or business retention requirements.

Security

OGS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, service-provider security features, and operational monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using a strong, unique password. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact us promptly at info@theonlinegunshow.com.

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on your account and applicable law, you may have choices such as:

  • Accessing or updating certain account information through your account settings
  • Requesting correction of inaccurate information
  • Requesting account deletion or closure
  • Managing notification preferences for certain transactional or account notices
  • Adjusting browser cookie or storage settings
  • Contacting support to submit a privacy request

Some requests may be limited or declined where permitted by law because of security, fraud-prevention, transaction integrity, dispute, accounting, compliance, or legal obligations. For example, we may need to retain certain order or payment records even if an account is deleted.

State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether applicable state or federal privacy laws apply to OGS, you may have rights to know or access personal information, delete personal information, correct inaccurate information, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and appeal a denied request.

OGS will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights, where those protections apply.

To submit a privacy request, contact info@theonlinegunshow.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

OGS does not currently sell personal information for money and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

OGS is intended only for users who are legally permitted to use the service and is not directed to children. OGS does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete it as required by applicable law. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to OGS, contact info@theonlinegunshow.com.
